The perfect pairing: SEASIDE® and Kokomo Winery.
The idea of SEASIDE® started with the notion of reviving traditions deep rooted in the history of the Florida Gulf Coast. Their (co-founders Robert & Daryl Davis) dream was of a place that would maintain a high degree of quality and character seamlessly tied by a common sense of community. That place is SEASIDE®, a town where families longing for simpler times by the sea can still experience a simple, beautiful life.

Similar in vision, winemaker Erik Miller focuses his small production, single-vineyard wines on the terroir-driven philosophy of Sonoma County and its distinct appellations. Named after Erik’s hometown, Kokomo, Indiana, the winery is perched on 120 acres of prime Dry Creek Valley known as Timber Crest Farms. This unique and scenic property has a rich history in Sonoma County dating back to the mid 1800s. Kokomo believes that small production techniques and relationships with growers allow them to make wines that are as individual and unique as the vineyards they were born from.
SEASIDE® and Kokomo Winery have partnered together to offer the best possible wines that will become the private label collection for SEASIDE®. This season these hand-selected wines are available to our SEASIDE® guests. The combination best summed up by Robert, "Kokomo is rediscovering and reviving traditional techniques of growing grapes and making wine that are deeply rooted in the terroir of Sonoma, just as Seaside has rediscovered and revived Gulf Coast architecture and community building."
As featured winemaker during the 24th Annual Seeing Red Wine Festival, Erik Miller will be joining us at Bud & Alley's Vintners Dinner Thursday evening to kickoff the weekends festivities. As one of the areas most anticipated events, this year SEASIDE® is excited to be partnered with Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation, creating an outlet for 100% of the event proceeds, benefiting children of Northwest Florida who are in need.

During the four day weekend event, there will be an extensive array of tasting tents with wines sampled from around the world and with SEASIDE® being the host site for the retail wine tent. Finding your favorites and sipping away, you are just steps away from purchasing the wine you find most pleasing to your taste buds. Although the wine is fabulous, one of our favorite elements of any event is style scouting! Our friends at Perspicacity have put together a few styling tips and advice for this weekends' wine-related festivities on their What to Wear blog!
